Rosh Hashanah

It can only be beneficial to your children to understand and appreciate the holidays that are important to others. All holidays were established to celebrate and remember something so important, it is on our calendar every year. Rosh Hashanah is one of those times.

Did you know that many religions follow a calendar that is different than the standard calendar you see every day? We know that in China, the calendar is associated with the phases of the moon. Chinese new year usually occurs between mid-January and mid-February.

For the Jewish calendar, the new year is based upon the Sun, the Moon and the Scriptures.

What is Spirituality?

Spirituality is a term many people use to describe living in a world of wonder. Spirituality is seeing an invisible power and feeling intuitive guidance that can help you navigate your life.

The only requirement for Spirituality is to acknowledge a larger power in the Universe that is operating outside of your control. This power is evident everywhere – in the motion of the plants and the functioning design of the human body.

10 Commandments for Kids

Since starting this program several years ago, far and away our Ten Commandment craft has been our most popular link through the Internet. Thousands of people have used this craft to explore the Ten Commandments with their children and within their youth ministries.

​As a child growing up Methodist, I was very familiar with the Ten Commandments. In fact, all my friends, whether they were Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah Witness or some other religion were familiar with them.

The 10 Commandments are an eternal rule of law and an important part of the three Abrahamic religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

Simchat Torah for Kids

Why do I have to go to school? Has every parent heard this from their child at some point in
their lives?

Kids return to school in August and September. And, after an exciting, relaxing summer, it can
sometimes be hard for kids to move from their care-free environment to the restrictions of the
classroom.

As with many challenges our kids have, this one can benefit from a shift in their thinking.
What is the alternative?
